We had quite a time trying to get into Club 18 Miniature Golf; we tried one evening but realized a bit too late that they were cash only. By the time we got the cash, five other groups had started, so we decided to punt to another night. We went again later in the week, but it was a bustling Saturday night with a lot of kids around. So if you are someone who likes a more quiet game of mini golf, try going in the off hours as Club 18 is definitely a popular spot! The theme at Club18 is dinosaur-adjacent, but we must compliment the paintings and murals around their facility; it definitely looks professional! We had a bit of difficulties with some of the greens as it looks like some of the hills are very sharp instead of sloped (see the bottom of the picture at right), which really affected some of our putts. However, the turf is very well maintained. The three story structure is a really interesting environment, and the vine canopy over the first floor is definitely a really interesting touch.
Another thing that we really appreciated is that they had a staff member stationed upstairs to make sure things didn’t get too rowdy. We are all for having fun on the course, but we’ve seen places get too crowded down at the shore and it becomes less fun for other people. We really appreciated the kind staff members at Club 18 and the commitment to making sure everyone was having a good time!
We had a bit of a rough day on the course; par was 41 and our winner came in at 43, but we will attribute that to feeling a bit anxious once the course got crowded with some unsupervised pre-teens. Would love to go back during a quieter time and try and beat that!
Overall, between this and Harbor Golf as the only two mini golf courses in Stone Harbor, we’d definitely recommend Club 18 if you are looking for a fun night out with family and friends! If you are looking for some serious, more quiet golf as an experienced player, you will probably prefer Harbor Golf, even if you have to stomach the price.
