We took a little detour to Pennsylvania for the 4th of July holiday, and we were super impressed by some of the magnificent courses in the PA hills and country. One of those establishments happens to be Putt U Miniature Golf in Center Valley, PA. Putt U consists of two courses, and actually hosted the Mini Golf US Open in 2016.

Putt U brands itself as “the highest degree of mini golf” and they will certainly offer some challenges to the standard mini golfer. We started out on their Blue course which features several water obstacles and long fairways, some measuring up to 90 feet. Although the courses have extremely long fairways, most of them are pretty straight fairways that you can get in with a minimum three if you are an experienced mini golfer. Par on the course was 57 and we all came in well under that. In fact, our winning score was 43, just four strokes off the course record. We will have to go back again to see if we could repeat this.

Despite it being in low 90s, we then took our chances with the Red Course, which was built around the historic houses on the property. Par on this course was also 57, and you could tell the heat was getting to us as our scores started to suffer on the back 9. Our winner finished up here with a 48, still well below par. The red course still provided a similar length to the blue, but added more twists and turns. It’s definitely the most challenging course we’ve played that wasn’t set in the back hills, like Pine Creek (NJ) or Village Greens (PA).

We went before 4pm, so pricing was $7.50/adult, and we added on a second game for half price! After 4pm it goes up to $8, but that is  a steal for the quality of this course. Also, the courses are beautifully maintained and immaculately landscaped with picturesque water features and lush greens. The staff was lovely and extremely attentive. We are definitely looking forward to going back here on our next trip to PA!
