We’ve been playing at Waltz Golf Farm ever since we’ve been coming through Pennsylvania, and they always deliver on the atmosphere every time. Including a Pitch & Putt, batting cages, and driving range, Waltz has an expansive facility, but we really believe the center of it is their miniature golf courses.

Waltz has has two courses: Farm and Castle. The Farm course is at the front of the property and is almost entirely flat with no stairs. The Castle course is on the back of the property and has more elevation changes, pipe travel, and obstacles. We’ve found that the castle course sits on a bit of a hill which threw off some of our putts, but you will have solid chances for holes-in-one on a good amount of these if you really hit it right. The Farm course relies on a lot of straight putts, including one of the most challenging that we finally nailed on this visit: the Wagon Wheel. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, some of the pipe travel is unreliable for automatic hole-in-ones, so it adds a bit of a strategic challenge depending on the hole you are on.

Both courses have always been immaculately kept, and they just did a refresh in the past year of a lot of their bigger structures, including the main castle that you see in our cover photo. Our winner got a 38 on both Castle and Farm, and perhaps even left a few shots out there. The course is interesting in its design, but it’s simplicity pulls it down from being a superior course, but that really is just fine; you can tell that Waltz is not supposed to be a “challenge” course. However, the atmosphere of these courses is always incredibly pleasing, and the price is incredibly reasonable. Farm course is $7 ($8 on weekends & evenings) , Castle is $8 ($9 on weekends & evenings),  with a senior discount available.

If you are looking for a classic course that has superior furnishings, immaculate greens, and a caring and friendly staff, Waltz Golf Farm is the place to be!
