We didn’t really know what to expect from our visit to Wildwood, but we are glad we stopped by Duffer’s! We have to admit, Duffer’s is not going to host any championship tournaments, but that really isn’t the goal here. The goal of Duffer’s is for everyone to have a good time (mission accomplished!).

Duffer’s is attached to a restaurant and homemade ice cream shop (delicious!) as well as an arcade, so you can spend quite the afternoon there. The mini golf theme is “Under the Sea Adventure” and is probably loosely (without the trademark) based around Finding Nemo. The course utilizes blue carpet and has many aquatic animals throughout the course, including a giant whale and a large shark.

The holes are relatively simple and short, and some parts of the turf felt loose and bubbly, but everything appeared fresh and well kept, including a painted town facade. Also gabbing along during our round was a trio of pelicans singing “Wildwood Days” and “On The Way To Cape May.”

We played before 5pm, so it was $9/person ($10/person after 5pm) and were the only people on the course. As we mentioned, the holes are short, so we snagged a few holes in one, but some course defects meant that our winning score was still a 39.

Overall, we had a great time at Duffer’s, and we were really pleased to see that it has clearly been kept in good condition. While we wouldn’t be taking any tournaments here, this is a place that the kids will have a blast!
