Markie’s is your larger version of your generic miniature golf course. The added length (on 26,000 square feet of property) is where one part of the challenge comes in, with the other being the real possibility of going in the water before your round is over.

The course was very well maintained, but there were a lot of leaves and sand around the course, so we give that a bit of a deduction here. The course plays with a lot of hills and elevation changes, but is relatively flat in terms of accessibility for those who can’ deal with stairs.

Price is very reasonable at $9 for adults $8 for kids and $7 for seniors. Another big boon is that the price of one round entitles you to play the course as many times as you wish that day. While we didn’t have time for another round, we would normally have taken advantage.

Par was a bit underestimated at 43, as we had a few problems with sand traps and the longer obstacle, but we were all in contention at the very end, with the winner coming in at 51. Another round and we would definitely have been closer to par.

Overall, there isn’t much wrong with the course, but it wasn’t astonishing. If you are in the area, this and Waltz Golf Farm are the best without going too far west (like Schell’s) or north (like Putt U).
