Nifty Fifty’s Miniature Golf 4670 NJ-42, Turnersville, NJ 08012

We actually didn’t have Nifty Fifty’s in our initial list of mini golf courses around New Jersey, and only heard about it after reading the review from Putting Penguin. Apparently, Harris Golf held a tournament here in 2008, so we figured we should check it out and pick up dinner while we are at it.
Unfortunately, this course feels like it is just being used as a money add-on, and isn’t really the focus of the establishment. While the course was is relatively good shape, it is extremely basic. In addition, we saw groups of 7-10 people, which really impeded play. It is clear that as long as people are able to pay, it doesn’t really matter what they do. We were a bit disappointed they didn’t decide to tie some of the 1950 diner theme into the course itself.
Several of the holes have clear lines for an ace, but we weren’t totally on our game with the crowds on the course. Par was an unimaginative 40, and our winner scored 41 and we were all packed close together at the end. $7/person is a good price for the course in this area, but there are better courses for the same price.
Overall, there isn’t anything really wrong with this course, but it wasn’t one we feel we would need to return to. There are at least 5 other courses within a 20 minute radios that might be more worth the visit.
