Putter’s Paradise is a part of a long string of courses along Route 28 on Cape Cod, but unfortunately, it looks like we might have caught this course at a bad time. While the outline of the course is somewhat promising, the overall condition of the course left much to be desired.

Unfortunately, there isn’t really much positive to say about the course. The general outline is somewhat interesting, but it is still a relatively small course compared to others along Route 28, which makes its $12/person price tag a bit hard to justify.

Even worse was the condition this course was left in. In total honesty, this is the worse condition we have ever seen a course left in. The water damage was some of the worse we have ever seen, and there were large rips on at least half of the holes, some of which were nearly unplayable. We submitted a review, and were told by management that their turf had been backordered for the past 6 months. While that is unfortunate, there is something to be said that no other course we have played in had been in this condition, so we place part of the blame on management here. We understand you probably can’t shutter your business while waiting for turf, it seems almost unconscionable to charge full price for the quality this course is left in.

Unfortunately, because of the quality of the course, it made the actual game we played almost secondary, but alas, we soldiered on. The par for the course is 39, and our winner scored 43.

Overall, take a look at the course before you play. If you still are seeing dark black spots on the course from the road or parking lot, or any visible rips, drive past and save your money.
