Poit’s Lighthouse is your typical mini-golf course, and would probably fit in wonderfully on a Jersey Shore boardwalk, or down in Myrtle Beach with Aloha Mini Golf.

The course looks to have new carpeting put in, but in our memory, has always been beautifully maintained. The course prominently features at least three lighthouses, a waterfall, and a large pond. The surrounding concrete bricks are a bit hard to predict in terms of a good bounce, but we managed to find our way.

The rates here are $12/adult and $10/senior. While that is a bit expensive, it seems to right around where most Cape Cod courses are. They also offer free replays until 4pm, another  thing that is common on the Cape on the less tourist-y courses.

Poit’s overall isn’t all that difficult, but it relies on solid putting skills rather than simply hitting the ball into a certain location for an automatic ace. It’s pretty flat, with no major elevation changes, which could make it seem a bit static. We were able to total 4 aces over two games. A bit of a personal gripe is that the 18th hole is the free game hole, but doesn’t give you other options, so the course is really 17 holes + a free game hole. That being said, par for the entire course is 42. Our first game winner came in at par, and then we both improved on the second go, with the winner totaling 39 and second place coming in at 40.

Overall, this course isn’t the flashiest and doesn’t have the most creative or innovative theme or layout, but it is a real solid course given the care it is given and the work done to keep it in peak condition. We’ve really enjoyed coming back to try and rack up as many aces as possible, and it helps that this is one of the less tourist-y spots so you will probably have a more relaxing game.
