The Golf Zone was a great stop that we happened to visit it twice in a day! Very similar to Tee’s Golf Center, another PA course, in that it is part of a driving range facility (although this has go-carts and some “adult entertainment center” to come soon), but the it falls short in a few other areas that give Tee’s a slight advantage.
The one Harris course does have very long greens, well manicured and maintained with little frills. The holes were very interesting, and we love when that can happen at a Harris course. They really made advantage of rock traps that didn’t have any barriers, and some exposed water. Overall, we are happy to see very creative, well maintained, courses all around PA!
The course did have blue starting mats, which looked like they had at one point been attached to the start, but each one was easily removable and slide over to the side. At this point, they could just throw them away. The other drawback here is the price; $10 feels a bit expensive for one driving range course, especially given the other offerings in the area.
It was early in the season when we visited so our scores were ell above our usual averages. Our low score of the day was a 53, compared to a listed par of 44, so we will definitely have to come back to at least improve our score. Overall, we would definitely visit this course again if we were in the area, but you could probably go a little bit farther in either direction and find a superb course if you have the time.
