New York City is not typically known for it’s mini golf, given it’s overall lack of greenery, but we are willing to try anything, even if it means heading inside to try out one of the best named mini-golf courses ever, Swingers.

Swingers in NoMad has three 9-hole courses, only one of which is included in your purchase: Waterwheel, Clocktower, and Windmill. A walkthrough of each course looks like most of them have the same idea and general layout; some have pipe holes with a bronze, silver, or gold option. However, the course goes relatively quickly if you were the only one there. The fact is, though, that will probably never happen, especially at night. You can expect to to sandwiched between many groups, from 2 to 6 people.

The reality is Swingers is really a spot for food and drink on the course, which they make easy to access through an app, and they proclaim to really have an interesting “street-food” vibe. The reality here is that the juice is not worth the squeeze: the food is tremendously overpriced for what you can get at any upscale bar. While the course is nicely kept with high class turf and good decorations, each is incredibly small. In addition, the price is just outrageous: $28/person for a 9-hole course is just absolutely ridiculous. While we love mini golf, a cheaper date is possible elsewhere.
