One of our stops in Pennsylvania had to be Village Greens Miniature Golf. Ever since discovering the beautiful park course of Pine Creek Miniature Golf, we love the refreshing change of pace that a park atmosphere brings to Mini-Golf, and we must say that Village Greens succeeds in every way.

Village Greens is tucked away in historic Pennsylvania Dutch country, surrounded by corn fields as far as the eye can see, but that doesn’t mean plenty of people didn’t find their way to the course in the 90 degree heat when we chose to attend. Village Greens is actually two courses over 13 acres, the 18 hole Orange Course (the more traditional/easier), and the 23 hole Gold Course (the more difficult). You are immediately struck by the immense beauty of the rolling hills and babbling brooks, but also of the gorgeous foliage that sprouts up everywhere; a truly picturesque course. We even came the day after some every rain, and were blown away by how well the course was kept, cleaned, and maintained.

Pricing is very reasonable, especially given the quality of the course. For the Orange course, adults are $10.75 and Seniors/Children are $8.75. For the Gold course, $13.75 for adults and $11.75 for Children/Seniors. There is also a discount for playing both courses on the same day. However, unsure where the heat would take us, we only paid for one course, ending up getting a free game, and then they honored our same day discount when playing the second course. This also speaks volumes to the quality of people at Village Greens. Especially on a hot, humid day, these people could not have been nicer!

Despite the heat, we did manage to have a pretty good game. On the Gold course, we had a tie for first right at par with 74, and even managed to sneak in two hole-in-ones. We could probably go back and shave a few strokes off of this, especially since we started the game with a 6 and a 5. After a refreshing beverage at their snack shoppe, we played the Orange course, which has a more traditional mini golf feel while still presenting some good challenges. Par on the Orange course was 52, and our winner came in at 43. The Orange course was a nice pallet cleanser after a very difficult first round, but both were equally phenomenal.

In summary, if you are anywhere near Lancaster County or Allentown or even happen to be driving through, Village Greens is an absolute must on your list to stop and play a couple rounds. From the people, to the course, to the snack shop afterwords, it was a tremendous experience.
