Harbor Glen could be considered a hidden surprise, and we literally mean hidden. While the course is located on Route 28, which is a bit of the “mini-golf highway” on the Cape, the course has literally no online presence. The restaurant that it branches out of, The Weatherdeck, also has no working website. A bit odd in this day, but sounds like they are really going for the casual vibe here.

The good thing here is that this course could have been really terrible, but it has been recently redone, so all the supple astro-turf looked like new. The other good thing is that the course has some of the most innovated and interesting hole designs we have seen on a “basic” miniature golf course. There is some slight elevation change, but mainly you are on even footing the entire time. There are some ace opportunities out there, but you have to be at the top of your putting game.

Par for the course was 42, and we were able to beat that with a solid 41 and a single ace, although we did have 18 after the front 9, and faltered with a 5 on one hole. Price is a good $7/person (cash only), which is right on target for this basic but still classic course.

Overall, we are glad we found this course, and wish we could put it higher on our rankings, but there isn’t anything overall “special” or “outstanding” about the course. If you are looking for a cheap course with no frills away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist-trap courses on Route-28, Harbor Glen might be worth a stop. However, we can see how, if the course were to fall into a bit of disrepair, this could really fall off a cliff in terms of ranking.
